Our subconscious minds play a crucial role in creating and shaping the reality around us, whether it be business success, how others treat us, the events that we attract in our lives, or the types of experiences we encounter frequently. What we experience constantly is a reflection of how our subconscious is programmed despite our conscious focus.
Just think of yourself as a robot. Robots are programmed in a certain way to perform specific tasks, and they cannot sense aspects beyond what they are programmed to do. The human subconscious mind acts similarly. Just as a computer is connected to the network, the human subconscious is directly connected to the universal mind, also known as universal intelligence. Thus, the subconscious mind has the power to attract opportunities, events, and people from the ocean of universal intelligence, as to how it is already programmed.
The question now is, who programmes subconscious mind to be in a certain way? That question would answer why some people seem to have huge luck on their side, as the rich become richer, and the poor complain about being broke despite their constant efforts. This behaviour is mainly because, deep down in their subconscious mind, they believe that ‘they are something’. Such programming is triggered by early childhood experiences, deeply rooted religious beliefs, and cultural enforcement. This is why there is always a debate going on in the spiritual world about ‘free will’. Whether we agree or not, our free will is intervened by external factors. Our mind is made to believe or be convinced of a particular aspect, which is then reflected through continuous events.
Let’s come to the business scenario now. If you come from a household where you are constantly told that you cannot be successful in business, then there is a chance that your subconscious will work to prove that ‘you cannot be successful’. However, not all who face criticism since childhood remain unsuccessful. The reason is either that you have a strong will to reach your goal or that an influential event or person has made a profound impact on your subconscious, enabling you to break these patterns and achieve success.
As I mentioned, your will determines the level of success. Let’s also highlight the role of ‘locus of control’. Suppose you are a person with an external locus of control, where you draw motivational energy from external events and believe you have no control over external factors. In that case, there is a likelihood that your willpower is limited. Similarly, if you have an internal locus of control, then you believe you can control external factors, and your willpower is likely high! You think that your actions can influence the external world, and you can create an impact in the world!
In fact, all can create success by programming their subconscious minds. You are not attracting success because you do not believe in your ability to make success. Even if you consciously think that you can be successful and yet attract failure, or you lack the drive to achieve success, there is a high likelihood of a belief dilemma between your subconscious and conscious actions. Such a dilemma is a result of trying to force conscious actions without eliminating the subconscious beliefs that have been embedded in your system for years, probably since childhood.
Whether it’s business or finances, one should understand that everything is a result of energy. To avoid continuous business failures, first try to prevent your conscious negative beliefs. Read testimonials from successful people and consciously ensure you are surrounded by those who bring positive energy in every aspect. However, subconscious programming is the more challenging part. You will need to consistently train your subconscious mind to attract events that will benefit the highest good.
While there are many ways to train your subconscious mind, the mirroring technique is powerful. Stand in front of a mirror and look at your reflection’s right eye! Then, repetitively, tell positive affirmations of what you want to achieve in the present tense. You can do so for five to ten minutes every day. Early morning time, after you wake up is the best, as you are in alpha state (mind relaxed and consciously open for suggestions) for the first fifteen minutes of waking up. You can also choose before bedtime.
For example, if you want to increase sales in your business, your affirmation should be as follows.
‘I am now making a lot of sales in my business’, ‘My sales are constant’. ‘I can make high-end sales’
To make these exercises effective, you must continue them for a minimum of 90 days, as subconscious programming takes time. Similarly, always add affirmations to remove existing negative beliefs. Such affirmations are likely to be, ‘I am transforming my negative beliefs into positive thinking, ‘I am a capable individual,’ and ‘I am new, and my past is only for learning.’
Similar to the above exercise, there are visualisation techniques as powerful as those presented by the Silva Method and Neville Goddard. All such methods operate on a single principle. Whatever the goal that you are affirming or visualising, you should do it with 100% faith and with emotions because the spiritual or psychological world acts on emotions and not on words. Give spirit to your end goal by adding hyperemotions such as happiness! Then only, you will attract positive events.
